My aim is to draft confident lines and plumping shapes that gather in harmonious whimsy. Sometimes with a touch of color. I like the simplicity of pencil on paper. Each drawing should look easily accomplished despite that my getting it right was earnest work. Each, with the patience of a humble daisy in the vast untended garden of human creation, awaits recognition as the act of its own completion.

I am mostly inspired by photographs I find in newspapers, magazines, library books and on the Internet. Life is too quick for my wondering eye.

Overall, the scans here on the web site fairly represent my work but the actual pencil drawings are nicer. Smoother. More consistent. As the site grew over time I got better at enhancing each scan to make it more drawing like.

The drawings are in several galleries only to speed their downloading.

All are for sale. Even the ones I've already sold! I'll make another original, indistinguishable (except maybe by me) from the first. Each drawing is $200.00. That includes mailing and a simple mat. You choose a frame to mediate between the drawing and your decor.
